Job Overview
As Practice Lead – Electrical, you will oversee a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end design and execution of electrical and low current systems within major infrastructure projects. This role involves direct client interaction, technical direction, quality control, and strategic support for business growth in Dubai’s evolving urban and
infrastructure landscape.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the electrical design team covering power, lighting, telecom, and security systems
* Direct engineering strategies across infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence and code compliance
* Serve as the main client interface for all technical matters related to electrical disciplines
* Supervise engineers and designers, manage performance, and support their professional development
* Ensure alignment with local UAE regulations, industry codes, and quality standards
* Collaborate with project managers and multi-discipline teams to maintain timelines, budgets, and deliverables
* Support project planning by advising on milestones, resource allocation, and cost implications
* Participate in regulatory negotiations and represent Parsons in client and public meetings
* Leverage design and BIM collaboration tools to manage workflow and model coordination
* Promote technical innovation, safety, and continuous improvement across all design deliverables
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
* 15+ years of experience in infrastructure or land development electrical design
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent recognized certification
* In-depth knowledge of power distribution, external lighting, structured cabling, and security systems
* Familiarity with UAE design standards, building codes, and electrical regulations
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing large technical teams
* Excellent communication, mentorship, and stakeholder management abilities
* Proficient in design tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360)
* Regional project experience in Dubai or the GCC is highly desirable
