Position Overview
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing procurement transactions for ELV and ICT systems while ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effective purchasing across multiple projects. This role directly supports project execution and profitability by handling vendor relationships, strategic sourcing, subcontract negotiations, and procurement planning in line with company standards and engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage procurement transactions related to Low Current Systems and ICT systems across multiple projects and clients
* Develop procurement plans, requisition schedules, and sourcing strategies in coordination with internal business units
* Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations to approved vendors and suppliers for engineered and non-engineered goods
* Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders, framework agreements, and labour supply contracts
* Negotiate subcontract terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions to optimize project profitability
* Coordinate labour supply strategies with stakeholders and ensure smooth implementation across projects
* Ensure all ordered materials comply with project specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements
* Monitor supplier performance and follow up on cost recovery, delivery performance, and purchase order reconciliation
* Prepare reports on outstanding orders, procurement risks, and potential delays while resolving commercial issues proactively
* Develop vendor evaluation processes and maintain strong supplier relationships for efficient procurement control
* Participate in major price negotiations to achieve savings and maintain procurement efficiency
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, FIDIC or FAR contract standards, and company delegation of authority guidelines
Ideal Profile
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
* Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in ELV, ICT projects, or maintenance contracts
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, subcontracting, and engineering project sourcing
* Experience with FIDIC or FAR contracts and business-specific contract development
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as ARIBA and procurement automation tools
* Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills
* Excellent communication skills for coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and procurement priorities under pressure
* Strong financial awareness and cost control mindset
