Role Context
The Project Director leads the delivery of major PPP infrastructure programs, managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful execution of tunnelling, sewer, and pump station works. This role is critical in driving project performance, maintaining safety standards, and delivering outcomes aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all project stakeholders
* Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, and commercial leads
* Oversee execution of tunnelling works, link sewers, and pump station infrastructure
* Monitor project progress, milestones, and commissioning schedules
* Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual commitments
* Lead stakeholder engagement with clients, regulators, utilities, and communities
* Drive performance improvement, accountability, and collaboration across teams
* Support workforce development and succession planning initiatives
* Manage risks associated with underground construction and tunnelling operations
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional certification
* Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure project delivery
* Proven experience managing large-scale PPP or mega infrastructure projects
* Strong background in TBM tunnelling and underground construction
* Experience in wastewater infrastructure and pump station projects
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
