Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Source for new suppliers and forecast price trends and their impact on the business
Negotiate with suppliers for discounts or better prices
Carry out market research to identify pricing trends.
Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Revise internal databases with order details such as dates, vendors, quantities and discounts
Create relevant reports for purchasing analysis from the accounting system.
Expedite delivery of procured goods and services.
Keep updated records of invoices and contracts
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
Place local/International orders and monitor delivery dates.
Assess offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
Ensure compliance with different statutory legislation.
Handle local/International purchases documents and avail this to internal accounts or operations in a timely manner.
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
