Senior BIM / GIS Drafting Engineer – AECOM – Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This role provides advanced BIM, GIS, and technical drafting support for major infrastructure projects across Dubai. Responsibilities include preparing and updating detailed design drawings, coordinating with engineers, tracking underground utilities, conducting site verification, and ensuring all drawings comply with authority standards and AECOM CAD requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and revise technical drawings, layouts and as-built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD
* Interpret engineering inputs and produce accurate, detailed construction drawings
* Ensure drawings comply with RTA, DM, DEWA and AECOM CAD standards
* Track and verify existing sewerage, stormwater and irrigation networks using as-built DS, IRR and Roads data
* Conduct site surveys and coordinate with inspectors for field verification
* Update redline markups, section details, pipeline profiles and microtunneling shaft layouts
* Maintain organized digital records and drawing archives
* Review contractor as-built and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
* Support drawing updates during construction to reflect approved changes
* Prepare utility coordination drawings to avoid service conflicts
* Coordinate closely with engineers, inspectors and document control teams for timely submissions
* Ensure all deliverables meet layering, scaling and title block standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related field
* Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering
* Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP, Bentley MicroStation, InfraWorks
* Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks
* Strong understanding of utility layouts, as-built verification and CAD standards
* Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into accurate drawings
* Strong coordination, communication and documentation skills
