Senior BIM / GIS Engineer – AECOM – Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Senior BIM / GIS Engineer role provides advanced digital engineering, drafting and utility coordination support for major infrastructure projects across Dubai. The position prepares and updates technical drawings, verifies existing underground networks, conducts field data collection and ensures all CAD and BIM deliverables meet authority and AECOM standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and revise technical drawings, layouts and as-built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD
* Translate engineering inputs into detailed construction drawings
* Ensure CAD deliverables comply with project requirements and RTA, DM and DEWA standards
* Track and verify sewerage, stormwater and irrigation networks using DS, IRR and Roads as-built records
* Conduct site surveys and coordinate with inspectors for field verification and data collection
* Update redline markups, section details, pipeline profiles and microtunneling shaft layouts
* Maintain organized digital archives for all drawings, revisions and records
* Review contractor as-built and shop drawings for compliance with actual site conditions
* Provide technical drafting support during construction to reflect approved project changes
* Prepare utility coordination drawings ensuring accuracy across multiple services
* Ensure compliance with AECOM CAD standards including layering, scaling and title block formats
* Coordinate with engineers, inspectors and document controllers for timely drawing submission and approval
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related field
* Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles
* Strong proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP, Bentley MicroStation and InfraWorks
* Experience with Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks
* Strong understanding of utility mapping, as-built verification, CAD standards and digital engineering workflows
* Ability to interpret engineering data and produce accurate drawings
* Strong communication and documentation skills
