Senior Electrical Engineer – Offshore HVDC/HVAC Platforms – Dubai, UAERole Summary
DP World is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in offshore HVDC and HVAC platforms to lead electrical auxiliary systems for renewable energy and major offshore projects. Based in Dubai, the role involves planning, designing, and reviewing electrical deliverables, coordinating with technology partners and subcontractors, and ensuring project execution meets quality, safety, and international standards. The position requires extensive experience in electrical engineering for offshore platforms and strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and classification rules.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead assigned scopes of electrical engineering for auxiliary systems in HVDC and HVAC platforms.
* Deliver engineering work for renewable energy projects in collaboration with
project teams.
* Plan, budget, organize, and control electrical engineering deliverables.
* Prepare and review design packages for all project phases.
* Liaise with HVDC/HVAC technology partners and manage engineering subcontractors.
* Provide technical guidance on electrical engineering queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure quality and safety compliance throughout design and project execution.
* Support construction, commissioning, and start-up activities, coordinating with other disciplines.
* Identify and resolve progress or quality concerns, recommending corrective measures.
* Provide technical solutions and advice for diverse electrical engineering challenges.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in an engineering design company.
* Strong track record in offshore HVDC/HVAC and process platforms for large-scale projects.
* Proficiency in ETAP, AGi32, ERP, EDMS, and Microsoft Office.
* Deep understanding of IEC/IEEE standards and classification rules from DNV_GL, BV, and other authorities.
* Proven capability in leading electrical design deliverables in EPC environments.
* Strong communication, technical problem-solving, and coordination skills.
