Senior Structural Engineer – Bridges and Underpasses – Dubai, UAE
Role Summary
The Senior Structural Engineer – Dubai, UAE will support Parsons Corporation in the supervision and design review of bridges, viaducts, underpasses, and piling works on major infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, the role involves coordinating with contractors, inspectors, and design teams to ensure compliance with specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards while contributing to the timely delivery of structural works.

What You’ll Do
* Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising the construction of bridges, viaducts, and underpasses
* Review shop drawings, material submissions, design proposals, and method statements for approval
* Coordinate directly with Parsons’ design engineers to resolve structural and technical issues
* Monitor inspectors, surveyors, and contractor engineers to ensure progress and quality of work
* Maintain daily site diaries, reports, and accurate as-built documentation
* Participate in safety compliance, ensuring health and safety goals are achieved on-site
* Chair and attend meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and service authorities as required
* Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports for project management
* Verify work progress against programmed schedules and assist in issuing site instructions
* Ensure completeness of as-built drawings and support handover of structural works to relevant authorities
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
* Minimum 15 years’ experience in design review and construction supervision of post-tensioned bridges, underpasses, and piling works
* Strong ability to review material submissions, interpret lab reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications
* Fully computer literate with proficiency in engineering and construction-related software
* Excellent English communication skills, with proven ability in technical reporting
* RTA approval is an advantage
* Prior experience in the UAE or GCC with civil supervision of major bridges and infrastructure projects preferred
* Background in engineering consultancy environments highly desirable
