Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is hiring an Animator - Arts and Crafts in Dubai, UAE to deliver creative, engaging, and safe guest experiences within the Picasso studio environment. The role combines hands-on workshop facilitation with customer service, daily studio operations, event support, inventory control, and safety responsibilities.
Working directly with children, families, and other guests, the Animator will guide a variety of artistic activities while creating an inclusive environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. The position also supports bookings, special events, material preparation, artwork handling, stock management, and the operational standards required for a smooth studio experience.

Creative Workshops and Guest Engagement
* Facilitate arts and crafts workshops including fluid art, drip art, tote bag painting, tie-dye, ink art, resin art, and sculpture customization.
* Guide guests step by step through creative activities while encouraging participation, confidence, and artistic exploration.
* Create a welcoming and inclusive studio environment for children, families, and other guests.
* Deliver engaging experiences while maintaining appropriate brand and customer service standards.
* Adapt communication and facilitation to individual guests and groups.
* Support guest satisfaction, engagement, attendance, repeat visitation, and NPS objectives.
* Respond professionally to guest concerns and support timely service recovery.
Studio Operations
* Support daily Picasso studio operations according to established schedules and procedures.
* Prepare materials, supplies, tools, artwork stations, and protective equipment before sessions.
* Maintain clean, organized, hygienic, and presentable studio areas.
* Ensure completed artwork is correctly labelled, dried, packaged, and delivered to guests.
* Monitor studio facilities, tools, materials, and equipment.
* Report maintenance requirements and operational concerns promptly.
* Support front desk activities including guest inquiries, bookings, attendance tracking, and related administration.
Events and Experiences
* Support birthday parties, special events, workshops, community activities, and other studio experiences.
* Prepare creative areas and materials according to activity requirements.
* Coordinate effectively with colleagues and Entertainment Managers to support smooth event delivery.
* Remain adaptable to changing operational requirements and guest needs.
* Perform additional assignments when required to support studio and business operations.
Inventory and Materials
* Monitor stock levels and usage of creative materials and consumables.
* Maintain appropriate supplies of canvases, sculptures, paints, dyes, tote bags, shirts, resin kits, and other required materials.
* Support inventory management and stock tracking activities.
* Report discrepancies or shortages through the appropriate channels.
* Help ensure materials are stored and handled according to operational and safety requirements.
Safety and Compliance
Safety is an essential part of the role because workshops involve paints, dyes, resin, tools, and other creative materials. The Animator must ensure that guests follow appropriate safety instructions and use materials and equipment correctly.
The role also requires compliance with health and safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, incident reporting processes, operational standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Safety concerns and equipment issues must be reported promptly.
Requirements
* 1-2 years of experience in arts and crafts, entertainment, hospitality, retail, education, creative workshops, or another guest-facing environment.
* Certificate, Diploma, or Certification in Fine Arts, Design, Arts and Crafts, Education, Hospitality, Creative Studies, or a related field is preferred.
* Passion for creativity, artistic expression, and engaging guest experiences.
* Knowledge of creative activities such as painting, fluid art, resin art, tie-dye, sculpture decoration, and related techniques.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence and energy when facilitating individual and group activities.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage children, families, and other guests.
* Understanding of workshop safety and safe handling of paints, dyes, resin, and creative materials.
* Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
* Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Basic inventory management and operational administration skills are preferred.
