Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is hiring an Animator - Confidence Lab in Dubai, UAE for an Entertainment role focused on delivering creative and interactive learning experiences for children. Through public speaking, storytelling, drama, communication, and creative writing workshops, the role helps children develop confidence, creativity, self-expression, and communication skills.
Combining facilitation with guest engagement and daily PlayShop operations, the Animator will lead scheduled activities, interact with children and families, support events and administration, and contribute to short-form content creation. The position requires an energetic, responsible, and child-focused approach while maintaining safeguarding, safety, service, and operational standards.

Workshop Facilitation
* Facilitate workshops in public speaking, storytelling, drama, communication skills, and creative writing for children across different age groups.
* Deliver activities according to established schedules, lesson plans, and brand standards.
* Create engaging and inclusive sessions that encourage creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and self-expression.
* Lead groups confidently while maintaining a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
* Encourage children to participate actively in workshops and performance-based activities.
* Support the daily operation of the PlayShop and help ensure scheduled sessions run smoothly.
Children, Families and Guest Experience
* Welcome and engage children, parents, and other guests professionally.
* Build positive relationships with families while maintaining appropriate communication regarding children\'s participation and development.
* Provide attentive customer service throughout workshops and other activities.
* Respond professionally to guest concerns and support timely service recovery.
* Contribute to guest satisfaction, attendance, retention, engagement, and NPS objectives.
* Maintain confidentiality and appropriate child safeguarding standards.
Events and Creative Content
* Host and support performances, parent engagement sessions, in-house events, community activities, and special programs.
* Film and create short-form content for classes, workshops, events, and promotional activities.
* Perform basic editing of recorded content when required.
* Contribute creative ideas related to storytelling, drama, writing, communication, and performance activities.
* Coordinate with colleagues and Entertainment Managers when delivering events and special programs.
Administration and Daily Operations
* Assist with guest inquiries and booking management.
* Maintain attendance records and support routine administrative activities.
* Assist with session planning, reporting, record keeping, and calendar coordination.
* Support digital administration associated with classes and activities.
* Monitor facilities and equipment and report maintenance requirements.
* Help keep learning spaces clean, organized, safe, and ready for scheduled activities.
* Support inventory monitoring and report stock shortages or discrepancies.
Safeguarding, Health and Safety
* Follow child safeguarding and behavior management procedures.
* Maintain appropriate health, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards throughout PlayShop areas.
* Follow established incident reporting procedures.
* Maintain professional conduct, integrity, and confidentiality when working with children and families.
* Comply with operational procedures, service standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration
The Animator will work closely with colleagues, Entertainment Managers, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth daily operations. Participation in training sessions, meetings, coaching activities, and continuous learning initiatives is also expected.
The role requires flexibility to support changing operational needs, special events, and additional assignments when required.
Requirements
* 0-3 years of experience in education, entertainment, hospitality, childcare, performing arts, retail, customer service, or a similar guest-facing environment.
* Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Education, Performing Arts, Communications, Hospitality, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
* Genuine interest in working with children and creating engaging learning or entertainment experiences.
* Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence leading groups and facilitating interactive activities.
* Strong customer service skills when engaging with children, parents, and guests.
* Creative interest in drama, storytelling, public speaking, writing, arts, or performance-based activities.
* Basic videography, content creation, and editing skills are preferred.
