Position Overview
Mace is seeking a visionary Associate Director for Theming, Attractions, and Showcasing to lead the integration of creative and technical elements in one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious mixed-use programmes. This leadership role focuses on delivering immersive environments within a world-class gaming and sports precinct, ensuring seamless alignment between design intent, operational requirements, and international quality benchmarks.

What You’ll Do
* Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies, defining requirements, risks, and mitigation measures.
* Lead theming and creative integration across design, fabrication, and installation phases.
* Oversee procurement processes for creative consultants, ensuring quality contracts and delivery outcomes.
* Drive technical assurance for theming systems including scenic elements, theatrical lighting, audio, show control, and special effects.
* Conduct thematic design reviews, material evaluations, and compliance checks.
* Coordinate mock-up and model approvals, fabrication standards, and quality control protocols.
* Lead stakeholder engagement with IP holders, attraction developers, and technical teams to maintain creative integrity.
* Mentor multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.
* Ensure adherence to sustainability objectives, contributing to net-zero carbon targets through material selection and processes.
* Maintain governance documentation, performance reporting, and change control processes.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, architecture, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in themed entertainment, with leadership roles in large-scale gaming, esports, or entertainment developments.
* Strong technical knowledge of themed fabrication, show set integration, and durability standards.
* Experience working with global IP brands and managing approvals.
* Familiarity with Middle East development projects or large-scale international programmes is advantageous.
* Chartered membership with bodies such as RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent; professional affiliations with IAAPA, AIMS, TEA preferred.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
