LOGISTICS ASSISTANT / Storekeeper Job Vacancy in UAE
Ability to evaluate technical and commercial specifications of a cross section of goods is a key requirement.
Development of material costs forecasts/standard cost lists is a responsibility of this position.
Must oversee and manage related logistical activity. Areas of responsibility may include inventory control, material handling, document management, import-export licensing, shipment of products from place of origin to point of delivery, third-party warehousing, and shipping/receiving activities
Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
Previous experience in the procurement field.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
Ability to independently resolve both technical and commercial issues with vendors.
Well organized, detail oriented, and strong follow-up ability.
Execution of export documentation requirements for shipment from Jebel Ali to destinations especially in Africa, which include Letter of Credit shipment, commercial invoice, etc. Ensure that all documentation meets export regulations.
Preparing documents from Chamber of commerce and Attestation by Embassy Follow up with customers and freight forwarder for Import/Export shipments and must know the status of all shipments.
Arrange details of shipments with forwarders, carriers as necessary for exports
Transacting of weekly shipments.
Documentation and data entry for all shipments including assisting logistic manager with daily functions.
Payment control to supplier and from customer.
