Role Context

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with implementing and maintaining safety and occupational health programs.
* Support compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Help maintain safety systems, procedures and supporting documentation.
* Monitor workplace conditions for potential health, safety and environmental hazards.
* Assist with identifying hazardous activities, equipment and substances.
* Work with project teams to investigate accidents, injuries and safety complaints.
* Gather information required for incident reviews and root-cause assessments.
* Help monitor corrective and preventive actions following investigations.
* Recommend practical improvements to processes, designs and work procedures.
* Support the evaluation of equipment controls intended to minimize hazards.
* Participate in employee safety training and awareness activities.
* Assist with emergency preparedness planning and response exercises.
* Help verify the quality and effectiveness of safety programs.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents and follow-up actions.
* Promote safe working practices among employees and project stakeholders.
* Escalate significant risks or non-compliance issues to senior safety personnel.
Ideal Profile
* Relevant academic, technical or professional background in occupational safety, environmental management or a related field.
* Understanding of basic workplace health and safety principles.
* Familiarity with hazard identification and risk-control practices.
* Ability to support accident and incident investigations.
* Interest in developing experience across environmental, health and safety disciplines.
* Strong observation and attention-to-detail capabilities.
* Ability to maintain accurate safety records and reports.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
