Role Context

This position supports AECOM\'s Buildings and Places


business line within its Middle East and Africa operations. Working under direct supervision, the Safety Advisor will perform routine duties across environmental, health and safety disciplines. The role contributes to regulatory compliance, hazard prevention, employee awareness and continuous improvement of workplace safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with implementing and maintaining safety and occupational health programs.
* Support compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Help maintain safety systems, procedures and supporting documentation.
* Monitor workplace conditions for potential health, safety and environmental hazards.
* Assist with identifying hazardous activities, equipment and substances.
* Work with project teams to investigate accidents, injuries and safety complaints.
* Gather information required for incident reviews and root-cause assessments.
* Help monitor corrective and preventive actions following investigations.
* Recommend practical improvements to processes, designs and work procedures.
* Support the evaluation of equipment controls intended to minimize hazards.
* Participate in employee safety training and awareness activities.
* Assist with emergency preparedness planning and response exercises.
* Help verify the quality and effectiveness of safety programs.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents and follow-up actions.
* Promote safe working practices among employees and project stakeholders.
* Escalate significant risks or non-compliance issues to senior safety personnel.
