Position Overview
The Assistant Operations Manager supports the smooth day-to-day operation of Dubai Festival City Mall and Marsa Boulevard with a strong focus on facilities management, contract performance, asset protection, and customer experience. This role ensures operational continuity, service quality, safety compliance, and strong coordination across technical teams, contractors, tenants, and event stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support performance monitoring of Hard FM contracts including MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and life safety, BMS, and vertical transportation
* Review KPI and SLA compliance, preventive maintenance plans, service reports, and corrective action requirements
* Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship quality, response times, and asset performance standards
* Identify recurring operational issues, missed assets, and service risks while escalating recommendations for resolution
* Support Soft FM operations including cleaning, waste management, pest control, landscaping, security coordination, and concierge services
* Conduct inspections to ensure hospitality-level standards in cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and customer-facing services
* Assist with performance rating exercises, corrective action tracking, contract reviews, and governance reporting
* Support refurbishment projects, minor capital works, and asset lifecycle replacement programs
* Assist in preparing RFPs, BOQs, technical scopes, contractor evaluations, and procurement coordination
* Monitor project timelines, budgets, snagging, defect tracking, and handover documentation
* Act as Duty Manager during weekends, public holidays, events, and peak trading periods for Dubai Festival City Mall and Marsa Boulevard
* Coordinate with security, marketing, leasing, FM teams, contractors, and authorities during operational escalations and event readiness
* Ensure compliance with mall policies, HSE standards, safety procedures, and operational guidelines
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
* Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in facilities management, mall operations, project coordination, or hospitality-driven environments
* Experience in live operational environments such as malls, hotels, or mixed-use developments is highly preferred
* Good understanding of contractor management, FM service delivery, and operational standards
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of MEP systems and soft services operations
* Familiarity with KPIs, SLAs, audits, operational reporting, and compliance monitoring
* Strong communication, follow-up, and stakeholder coordination skills
* Flexible and willing to work rotational shifts including weekends, holidays, and event coverage
* Positive attitude with strong ownership, reliability, and customer-focused mindset
