Role Context
The Fire Alarm Supervisor - Life Safety Systems will oversee daily site activities, guide technical teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure all fire alarm works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications. The role requires practical knowledge of fire alarm brands, authority requirements, AMC schedules, emergency call-outs, and quality documentation. The successful candidate will support both project execution and maintenance operations across commercial and fit-out environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate fire alarm installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting teams.
* Plan and execute site activities according to approved project schedules, AMC plans, and client requirements.
* Conduct testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and technical checks for fire alarm and voice evacuation systems.
* Support installation and maintenance activities for central battery systems and related life safety equipment.
* Ensure all work complies with UAE Civil Defense standards, DCD requirements, project specifications, and company safety procedures.
* Manage fit-out project requirements, site coordination, technical execution, and handover preparation.
* Oversee AMC service schedules, preventive maintenance tasks, corrective maintenance visits, and emergency call-outs.
* Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and daily supervision to fire alarm technicians and site teams.
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Prepare daily reports, weekly reports, checklists, testing records, service reports, and completion documents.
* Monitor work quality, safety standards, manpower allocation, material requirements, and site progress.
* Identify technical issues, delays, authority-related requirements, and project risks, then report them to management promptly.
* Ensure devices, panels, cabling, interfaces, and system components are installed and tested according to approved drawings and standards.
* Support final inspections, system demonstrations, authority coordination, and client handover processes.
* Maintain professional communication and leadership while ensuring site teams follow assigned tasks and deadlines.
Ideal Profile
* ITI, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics Engineering, or relevant technical qualification.
* Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in fire alarm systems.
* Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, voice evacuation systems, and central battery systems.
* Experience in both fit-out projects and AMC operations is required.
* Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
* Familiarity with fire alarm brands such as Notifier, Nittan, Honeywell, or equivalent systems.
* Good understanding of UAE Civil Defense, DCD, and relevant authority requirements.
* Ability to supervise technicians, manage site teams, and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
* Good communication, leadership, documentation, and reporting skills.
* Strong attention to safety, quality, compliance, and technical accuracy.
* UAE driving license will be preferred but is not mandatory.
