Role Context
The Fire Alarm Supervisor - Life Safety will oversee assigned fire alarm tasks, guide technicians and helpers, coordinate with clients and project stakeholders, and ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role requires practical technical knowledge, site supervision ability, strong reporting skills, and hands-on experience in programming, testing, commissioning, and maintaining fire alarm systems in line with UAE authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and complete assigned fire alarm tasks according to approved project schedules and maintenance plans.
* Supervise, control, and guide fire alarm technicians and helpers during installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
* Ensure timely inspection, troubleshooting, programming, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
* Maintain strong working knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
* Coordinate and attend client meetings to discuss project progress, technical issues, site updates, and completion requirements.
* Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, clients, and relevant authorities including DCD and Hassantuk.
* Ensure all fire alarm works comply with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, authority requirements, project specifications, and company procedures.
* Manage daily site activities and ensure technicians follow safe working practices, approved drawings, and technical standards.
* Support programming, fault diagnosis, panel configuration, loop testing, device testing, and system verification where required.
* Track multiple project tasks and ensure deadlines, quality standards, and handover requirements are met.
* Prepare reports, checklists, testing records, maintenance logs, inspection documents, and handover files.
* Identify site issues, technical risks, manpower needs, and material requirements, then report them to management in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth workflow, proper documentation, and successful completion of fire alarm works.
* Maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, authorities, technicians, and internal departments.
* Support final testing, commissioning approvals, and project handover documentation.
Ideal Profile
* Diploma, ITI, or relevant technical qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
* UAE experience in fire alarm systems will be preferred.
* Strong knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
* Experience in fire alarm programming, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
* Good understanding of UAE Fire and Life Safety Code requirements.
* Experience coordinating with DCD, Hassantuk, consultants, main contractors, and clients will be an advantage.
* Ability to supervise technicians, helpers, and site teams effectively.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, reports, and site responsibilities.
* Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
* Strong attention to safety, quality, compliance, and technical accuracy.
* UAE driving license will be preferred.
