Maintenance Group Leader | Retail | IKEA DFC
The Maintenance Group Leader is responsible for overseeing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy of IKEA DFC and ensuring its efficient execution across operations. The role includes managing hard and soft services, preventative maintenance schedules, and compliance with governmental regulations while maintaining high service standards within the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage planned, reactive, and incidental maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient Hard FM, housekeeping, waste management, and pest control services.
- Supervise soft service operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee store and external periphery conditions, including signage, street markings, and lighting.
- Monitor and manage inventory for hard services spare parts and soft services consumables.
- Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for outsourced contractors.
- Track contractor performance, identify service gaps, and recommend corrective measures.
- Lead procurement negotiations for contracts and oversee budget compliance.
- Ensure new assets are integrated into maintenance programs and quality assurance procedures.
- Develop and implement staff training and development plans to ensure succession planning and service excellence.
- Monitor security reports, mystery shopper feedback, and emergency protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with local authorities, including Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, and SIRA, for compliance and safety requirements.
- Work with the development team to manage construction-related cleaning, pest control, and security measures.
- Prepare monthly financial and operational reports for management review.
Required Skills and Experience
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in shopping centers, malls, or hotels.
- Strong background in Civil Defense service.
- Experience in commercial and financial management with accountability for budget control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to work flexible operational hours as required.
