Role Context
The Painter helps maintain the appearance, durability, and safety of GMG facilities through planned and corrective finishing work. Careful surface preparation, correct material application, timely defect reporting, and safe equipment use are essential to achieving consistent results.
Key
Responsibilities
* Perform painting work on interior and exterior surfaces.
* Paint walls, ceilings, doors, windows, frames, and other building elements.
* Inspect surfaces and determine the preparation work required.
* Clean areas before applying paint or protective materials.
* Remove loose, damaged, or deteriorated coatings.
* Sand, scrape, fill, level, and prime surfaces.
* Mix and prepare paint according to color and product requirements.
* Apply paints, varnishes, polishes, and protective coatings.
* Use brushes, rollers, and other appropriate painting tools.
* Produce clean, even, and consistent finishes.
* Complete touch-up work in occupied and operational areas.
* Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance painting.
* Protect surrounding furniture, flooring, fixtures, and equipment.
* Identify surface damage, water leaks, cracks, and related defects.
* Report issues requiring plumbing, civil, or specialist maintenance.
* Follow assigned work orders and technical instructions.
* Complete tasks within agreed schedules.
* Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
* Store paint and related materials correctly.
* Keep work areas clean and remove waste responsibly.
* Follow Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
* Wear required personal protective equipment.
* Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly.
Ideal Profile
* High school certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Between 2 and 3 years of painting experience.
* Previous work within facilities management or building maintenance.
* UAE or wider GCC experience is preferred.
* Familiar with interior and exterior painting methods.
* Practical knowledge of surface preparation and finishing.
* Able to work with paints, primers, varnishes, and protective coatings.
* Basic English communication skills.
* Able to follow work orders and safety instructions.
* Careful when matching colors and completing visible finishes.
* Physically capable of performing routine painting duties.
* Reliable, organized, and attentive to deadlines.
