Key Responsibilities
* Install, repair and modify water supply, drainage, sewage disposal, gas distribution and similar utility systems.
* Assemble and repair pipes, fittings, valves and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems.
* Study building plans, drawings and specifications to determine required work methods and installation sequence.
* Cut openings in walls and floors to fit pipes and pipe fittings using suitable hand tools and power tools.
* Cut, thread and bend pipes using pipe cutters, threading machines, cutting tools and pipe-bending equipment.
* Install metal and non-metal piping materials including steel, iron, brass, plastic and similar approved materials.
* Repair plumbing faults by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, clearing clogged drains and fixing leaks.
* Support safe work practices by following plumbing codes, company procedures and project safety requirements.
* Complete work orders accurately and return documentation to the work management team after job completion.
* Inspect plumbing issues, identify root causes and recommend practical repair solutions.
* Coordinate with supervisors or facility officials on proposed plumbing works and provide technical input where required.
* Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition during site operations.
Ideal Profile
* 2-3 years of relevant plumbing experience in facility maintenance, building services or similar environments.
* Relevant UAE or Gulf experience is preferred.
* Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of a plumbing apprenticeship is an advantage.
* Good knowledge of plumbing installation, pipe repair, drainage systems and utility maintenance.
* Able to read basic drawings, follow specifications and understand plumbing work sequences.
* Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, threading machines and related plumbing equipment.
* Strong problem-solving ability with practical knowledge of identifying and resolving plumbing faults.
* Physically fit for site work and able to handle repair, installation and maintenance tasks safely.
* Reliable, detail-oriented and able to complete assigned work orders with proper documentation.
