Job Overview
As an Audit and Assurance Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic insights to real estate clients. Your role will involve leading audit teams, coordinating with specialists, and maintaining high-quality assurance standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining Deloitte’s reputation for excellence and trust in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute audit engagements for real estate clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Develop an in-depth understanding of client businesses, industry trends, and financial performance
- Allocate responsibilities between engagement team members and industry specialists, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to deadlines
- Apply professional skepticism and conduct thorough financial statement reviews to assess potential risks
- Review and approve work performed by team members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with audit methodologies
- Lead discussions with client management teams, providing insights and recommendations on financial reporting and internal controls
- Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for new service offerings and client engagements
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development guidance to junior auditors and team members
- Ensure that independence, objectivity, and professional ethics are maintained throughout all audit engagements
- Utilize industry-specific knowledge to improve audit strategies and processes, particularly within the real estate sector
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in auditing, preferably with a leading professional services firm or multinational organization
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in handling a portfolio of real estate clients is preferred
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations
- CPA, CA, or an equivalent professional certification is required
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
