The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the collection process of outstanding payments by coordinating with customers to ensure timely payments and minimizing overdue balances. This role requires strong negotiation skills and collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient financial management.

Key responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts to identify potential payment issues and address them professionally to reach payment agreements.
- Collect overdue payments and bad debts efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships to minimize future payment delays.
- Release proof of payments to the finance team and ensure timely and accurate billing and collection processes.
- Work closely with the Finance and Customer Relations Management departments to manage defaulter cases.
- Track and process installment plans based on milestones and due dates, ensuring accuracy in the Statement of Account (SOA) as per the Sales Purchase Agreement (SPA).
- Maintain accurate records of payment plans, collections, and document security within the internal CRM system.
- Analyze overdue payment cases and issue legal notices in consultation with the Legal Department and authorities such as DLD and Dubai Court.
- Complete administrative duties related to collections, including resolution forms, termination forms, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Prepare reports on collections activities, outstanding payments, and financial data to support management decisions.
- Coordinate the termination process for properties, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to established legal frameworks.
- Maintain updated records of terminations, inventory management, and reporting for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assess and enhance termination and inventory management processes for improved efficiency and cost optimization.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Law; Master’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of legal regulations and procedures related to terminations and receivable management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Yardi, Salesforce, or Oracle.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation abilities for handling client interactions professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize collections efforts.
- Customer relationship management experience.
- Detail-oriented team player with excellent time management skills.
