Cafe Assistant | Customer Service | Retail
The Cafe Assistant is responsible for maintaining high hospitality standards, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting food and beverage operations within the retail environment. This role requires attention to detail, food safety knowledge, and the ability to engage with customers to enhance their shopping and dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the cafe, counters, and seating areas.
- Prepare and present food and beverage items according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist customers with product selections, menu recommendations, and order placements.
- Ensure food safety compliance, including temperature checks and storage protocols.
- Promote deals, offers, and product tastings to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
- Handle customer transactions, stock replenishment, and inventory management.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to company policies for food waste management and health & safety regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma (Bachelor\'s degree preferred).
- 4-5 years of experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle some heavy lifting.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is an advantage.
- Team player with a positive and engaging personality.
