GMG is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the culinary team at its Geant store located in Dubai Hills Mall. This position plays a key supporting role in food preparation, cooking, and presentation while maintaining hygiene, safety, and kitchen organization. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced retail kitchen environment that serves as a production hub for GMG’s UAE stores.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to standard recipes and directions.
* Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards for all dishes produced.
* Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
* Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients following FIFO procedures.
* Support the kitchen team during busy operations, ensuring efficient service and smooth workflow.
* Safely operate kitchen appliances and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
* Assist with receiving and managing inventory, reducing waste and monitoring stock rotation.
* Participate in daily prep work and contribute to maintaining production targets for UAE store distribution.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate production and service tasks.
* Follow company policies, health and safety rules, and hygiene protocols at all times.
Ideal Profile
* Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and portion control.
* Understanding of kitchen tools, appliances, and safe operating procedures.
* Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
* Awareness of flavor profiles, ingredients, and product quality indicators.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and maintain high standards under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to teamwork.
