Position Overview
InterContinental Hotels Group in Dubai is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Restaurant Server to join its food and beverage team. The role involves providing prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests while promoting menu items, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere.
Core Duties
* Greet and interact with guests in a warm, approachable, and professional manner
* Take and process guest orders accurately, post bills, collect payments, and serve food and beverages promptly
* Promote menu items, daily specials, and promotions to increase sales and enhance guest experience
* Follow all opening and closing duties according to established checklists
* Prepare service areas, including polishing glassware, cleaning cutlery, and wiping tables
* Clear tables efficiently and arrange stations neatly for service readiness
* Ensure all menu items are sold at correct prices to maintain planned profitability
* Comply with grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards set by the hotel
* Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, food and beverage offerings, and regional InterContinental properties
* Assist with special duties or projects as assigned by management
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum one year of experience in a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment
* Knowledge of wines and spirits and ability to recommend selections to guests
* Fluency in spoken, written, and reading English
* Familiarity with the MICROS operating system for order and billing management
