Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking an experienced Food Technologist to ensure full compliance with Marks & Spencer (M&S) and UAE food safety standards across its food operations. The role is responsible for driving food quality, labelling compliance, and safety governance while supporting continuous improvement across all food products and hospitality processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach to compliance, and proven experience in food safety and quality assurance within retail or FMCG environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and ensure compliance of all food products and facilities with M&S and UAE food safety regulations.
* Lead initiatives to improve key performance indicators such as complaints, audit scores, and product testing outcomes.
* Drive labelling compliance in line with both M&S and local requirements, ensuring accurate product information.
* Monitor and assess changes in local and international food safety laws and implement necessary adaptations.
* Maintain governance over food safety compliance across in-store and hospitality operations, including allergen control and hygiene processes.
* Collaborate with Technical Services Leads and other stakeholders to ensure that all manufacturing and food handling sites meet required standards.
* Conduct food safety audits, implement corrective actions, and prepare detailed compliance reports.
* Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on safety and quality.
Ideal Profile
* Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
* 4–5 years of experience in food safety, compliance, or quality assurance within retail, hospitality, or FMCG sectors.
* Strong working knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and international standards.
* Proven experience in audits, risk assessment, and compliance documentation.
* Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
