Role Context
The Senior Project Manager converts the technology roadmap established by the IT Business Partner into controlled, predictable delivery. The position leads matrix-based specialists who
remain within their respective reporting lines, requiring influence through credible planning, transparent capacity agreements, sound judgement, and disciplined governance.
The portfolio combines structured enterprise roll-outs with a steady flow of smaller change requests and Business-As-Usual enhancements. Both streams must remain properly prioritized, audit-ready, and aligned with the operational realities of food processing, warehousing, dispatch, and transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Own technology projects from charter development and scope definition through closure and benefit review.
* Manage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations roll-outs across multiple Foods entities.
* Lead Advanced Warehouse Management deployments supporting storage, inventory, picking, dispatch, and distribution.
* Deliver Power BI, reporting, analytics, Azure data, Power Platform, and automation initiatives.
* Establish portfolio governance, delivery standards, approval controls, and executive reporting routines.
* Build integrated plans covering milestones, budgets, resources, dependencies, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
* Maintain clear project measures and dashboards covering schedule, cost, scope, quality, risk, and capacity.
* Direct functional consultants, technical specialists, data engineers, business super-users, vendors, and COE resources.
* Negotiate realistic resource commitments with line managers responsible for matrix-assigned team members.
* Run portfolio planning sessions and resolve competing demands across project and enhancement streams.
* Triage, size, prioritize, and schedule small change requests without destabilizing core platforms.
* Protect delivery capacity so urgent Business-As-Usual work does not delay strategic roll-outs.
* Coordinate solution design and delivery with IT Centres of Excellence and business-process owners.
* Ensure plans reflect operational requirements across poultry, starch, value-added processing, warehousing, and logistics.
* Control project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and approved scope changes.
* Prepare steering-committee updates and communicate emerging concerns before they affect delivery.
* Oversee vendor selection, commercial evaluation, contract performance, and delivery obligations.
* Coordinate testing, data readiness, training, cutover planning, go-live support, and hypercare.
* Maintain complete technical, commercial, financial, and governance documentation for audit readiness.
* Develop standard operating procedures and improve project-delivery methods across the portfolio.
* Guide project managers and coordinators while promoting accountability across indirect delivery teams.
* Track adoption, stakeholder satisfaction, release stability, and expected business outcomes after implementation.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold a bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a relevant discipline. A master\'s degree, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
The position requires eight to ten years of project-management experience, including three to five years in a leadership capacity. Strong candidates will have delivered complex enterprise technology, manufacturing, industrial, or operational-transformation programmes.
Practical fluency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Advanced Warehouse Management is important. The role also requires familiarity with food manufacturing and distribution processes, alongside the confidence to lead senior stakeholders and cross-functional specialists without relying solely on formal authority.
