Position Overview
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join its Right of Way department. This role involves conducting technical inspections, auditing safety compliance, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards within road corridors.
What You’ll Do
* Contribute to developing field survey plans for assessing asset conditions within road corridors
* Perform technical and engineering audits on safety standards and specifications for ongoing work
* Document field visits using electronic systems for accurate reporting and follow-up actions
* Submit proposals for engineering modifications to enhance road and public safety
* Verify compliance of traffic diversions with approved engineering plans and permits
* Monitor service project work programs within road corridors and report deviations
* Follow up on closing damage reports related to road assets and ensure corrective actions
* Address and analyze client complaints, taking necessary actions to improve service quality
* Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with corrective measures
* Implement scheduled technical inspections and monitor compliance with laws and standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Electrical Engineering (0 years of experience) OR
* Diploma in Engineering (2 years of experience) OR
* Technical/Industrial High School Certificate (3 years of experience)
* Strong knowledge of engineering and safety standards in road infrastructure projects
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Proficient in using technical reporting systems and related software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
