Job Overview
The CMS Developer will build and maintain enterprise-grade content management platforms, integrate APIs and backend services, and ensure accessibility, security, and performance for government digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and administer CMS solutions using WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Strapi, or equivalent enterprise platforms
* Implement custom themes, plugins, and modules with clean, testable code
* Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services for content, identity, analytics, and search
* Enforce security hardening, data protection, role-based access, and audit readiness
* Optimize performance, caching, and SEO for high-traffic portals
* Ensure WCAG accessibility and multilingual readiness across templates and components
* Set up CI-CD workflows, version control, and automated testing practices
* Produce documentation, runbooks, and handover guides for operations
* Collaborate with design, content, and infrastructure teams to deliver releases on time
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
* Proven experience in CMS development, administration, and lifecycle management
* Strong knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Strapi, or similar enterprise CMS
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend programming with PHP or Node.js
* Experience integrating CMS with APIs, databases, and third-party systems
* Understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and accessibility standards
* Familiarity with CI-CD and DevOps practices is a plus
