Role Context
The Assistant Store Supervisor will support end-to-end operations for tMart, talabat\'s cloud grocery store concept. The role covers shift supervision, staff coordination, stock replenishment, inbound receiving, inventory checks, pick and pack accuracy, store hygiene, safety standards, and process improvement.
This position is important for maintaining fast grocery delivery performance, reducing out-of-stock and overstock situations, improving customer order accuracy, and ensuring the store follows approved SOPs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Store Supervisor to keep daily operations organized, compliant, and productive.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Store Supervisor in managing daily store operations during the assigned shift.
Oversee end-to-end shift activities, including staff coordination, ordering support, inbound receiving, stocking, inventory control, and customer order fulfillment.
Assist in planning staff schedules, shift allocation, task assignment, and routine operational follow-up.
Support store replenishment by checking stock levels, reviewing demand inputs, assessing physical stock, and helping issue orders when required.
Help maintain proper product availability by reducing out-of-stock and overstock situations across store categories.
Support inventory management practices, including stock control, cycle counts, stock takes, and accurate inventory updates based on the agreed schedule.
Ensure inbound receiving is completed accurately according to company policies, receiving standards, and SOP requirements.
Monitor outbound operations during the shift to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and prepared correctly and on time.
Review fulfillment processes and recommend practical improvements to increase productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Support actions related to store shrinkage, damaged goods, missing stock, expired items, and inventory variances.
Help implement hygiene, sanitation, security, safety, and service level standards across the store.
Maintain strong internal customer service by supporting store teams, operations teams, and related departments during daily workflow.
Discuss operational issues, process gaps, and shift-level challenges with the Store Supervisor and suggest workable solutions.
Support preventive maintenance follow-up and ensure store equipment, tools, and work areas remain ready for smooth operations.
Promote a hands-on working culture by assisting the team during busy periods and ensuring operational priorities are completed.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in supermarket operations, restaurant operations, grocery retail, quick commerce, food service, warehouse operations, or a similar fast-paced store environment.
Experience in grocery store operations, cloud stores, dark stores, retail fulfillment, pick and pack processes, stock control, or fresh food handling will be an advantage.
The candidate should understand store replenishment, stock receiving, inventory checking, order preparation, hygiene standards, safety requirements, and customer service expectations.
This role suits someone who is hands-on, organized, energetic, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
Good communication skills are required to coordinate with store teams, supervisors, operations staff, and cross-functional partners.
Fluency in English is required, while Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.
