Role Context
The Quality Assurance Inspector will support product safety and quality standards inside a butchery and poultry manufacturing environment. The role requires careful inspection of raw materials and finished products, accurate use of measuring instruments, strong documentation habits, and a practical understanding of meat and poultry quality requirements.
This position directly contributes to customer safety, product consistency, operational compliance, and reduced quality risk. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and managers to ensure that food safety protocols, inspection standards, and corrective actions are applied correctly throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Read and understand standard operating procedures, product specifications, and quality expectations for butchery and poultry products.
Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet approved quality, safety, and production standards.
Select samples for quality checks using defined inspection methods and approved quality control procedures.
Check product weight, cutting specifications, temperature control, packaging integrity, appearance, freshness, and handling quality.
Use measuring tools such as thermometers, calibrated scales, pH meters, and moisture analyzers to complete accurate quality and food safety checks.
Calibrate and verify measuring instruments to ensure reliable inspection results and compliance with quality requirements.
Analyze inspection results, test readings, and quality data to identify deviations, non-conformities, and possible food safety risks.
Document inspection findings clearly and maintain accurate quality control records for audit and compliance purposes.
Report non-conformities to relevant teams and recommend corrective actions based on approved quality assurance procedures.
Follow HACCP, GMP, food safety, hygiene, and manufacturing quality protocols during all inspection activities.
Monitor butchery and poultry processing practices to ensure production teams follow required quality and safety standards.
Support investigations related to product quality issues, process deviations, packaging concerns, or handling errors.
Work with production employees, supervisors, and managers to promote quality awareness and compliance during daily operations.
Communicate inspection results and quality concerns clearly to cross-functional teams.
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality issues and helping teams apply practical preventive measures.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a Quality Inspector, QA Inspector, QC Inspector, or similar role in a butchery, poultry, meat processing, food manufacturing, or fresh food production facility.
Experience in butchery operations or strong knowledge of meat cutting specifications, poultry handling, product grading, and processing standards will be highly preferred.
Food Safety Certification such as HACCP, GMP, or an equivalent qualification is essential.
The candidate should understand manufacturing quality control processes, food safety principles, QA/QC practices, product inspection methods, and regulatory requirements for meat and poultry products.
Strong familiarity with inspection tools such as thermometers, pH meters, calibrated scales, and related measuring instruments is required.
The role suits someone with strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and confidence in identifying quality issues before they affect production or customers.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently, make practical quality decisions, and communicate clearly with production and quality teams.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while Arabic language knowledge will be an advantage.
