Health and Safety Officer – Dubai, UAE
Role Summary
Sharaf DG is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, mitigate risks, and promote a safe working environment across multiple projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and hands-on site safety leadership.

What You’ll Do
1. Support the development and implementation of OHS policies and programs.
2. Advise and instruct staff on safety-related topics such as noise levels and machinery use.
3. Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
4. Create, review, and update safety policies in line with legislation.
5. Initiate and deliver OHS training for employees and executives.
6. Inspect premises and personnel to ensure compliance with protective equipment and safety standards.
7. Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances.
8. Stop unsafe acts or processes deemed dangerous or unhealthy.
9. Record and investigate incidents, determining root causes and handling worker’s compensation claims.
10. Prepare detailed safety reports and provide statistical information to management.
11. Represent the company on HSE matters in client-facing engagements.
12. Conduct regular site safety trainings and inspections.
13. Identify unsafe acts and conditions, reporting them to relevant contractors.
14. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action planning.
15. Utilize MS Office and risk assessment software for reporting and analysis.
16. Deliver strong safety presentations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
17. Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory safety requirements (local and international).
18. Apply knowledge of lighting and solar works in safety management.
Ideal Profile
* More than 6 years of experience working in a multi-project environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master’s degree desirable).
* NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
* Strong project team management, training, and client-facing skills.
* Proven experience in safety reporting, data analysis, and corrective action planning.
* Valid UAE driving license is required.
