What Does a Specialist Dermatologist Do?
This role is focused on delivering high-quality dermatological care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide spectrum of skin conditions. You will also provide patient education and perform minimally invasive procedures when required.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct thorough dermatological evaluations using clinical history and physical examination
- Diagnose and treat various skin, hair, and nail disorders
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and perform non-invasive cosmetic and medical procedures
- Provide advanced treatment for complex skin conditions and hair restoration therapy
- Guide patients through preventive care and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and participate in regular clinical audits
- Collaborate with internal medicine, pediatrics, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care
- Stay informed about current trends, technologies, and research in dermatology
What Skills Are Needed for a Dermatologist in Dubai?
Education:
- MBBS or MBChB from a recognized institution
- Completed specialty qualification recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of post-specialization experience in Dermatology
- Proven competency in general and cosmetic dermatological procedures
Certifications & Skills:
- Basic and Advanced Life Support certifications
- Fluency in English; Arabic language is an added advantage
- High computer literacy and documentation accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal communication and counseling skills
- Research and publication background is preferred
