What Does a Specialist Orthopaedist Do?
As a Specialist Orthopaedist based at our Warqa Clinic, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of bone, joint, and musculoskeletal conditions. This includes both acute injuries and chronic orthopedic disorders, using advanced imaging, minimally invasive techniques, and patient-centric therapies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct orthopedic assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
- Treat fractures, ligament injuries, and degenerative joint conditions
- Provide non-invasive and surgical treatment options where appropriate
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, and general practitioners to ensure comprehensive care
- Advise patients on preventive measures, physical rehabilitation, and post-treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to medical governance standards
- Participate in audits, case reviews, and medical knowledge-sharing sessions
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic techniques and tools
What Skills Are Needed for an Orthopaedist in Dubai?
Education:
- MBBS or MBChB from an accredited institution
- Completion of specialist training recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years post-specialization experience in orthopaedic care
- Competence across general orthopaedics, sports injuries, joint conditions, and trauma cases
Certifications & Skills:
- Basic and Advanced Life Support certification
- Excellent communication skills to counsel patients and coordinate care
- Proficiency in modern diagnostics and treatment planning tools
- Arabic language skills are an added advantage
- Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities
