Role Context
This position supports cutting-edge research within the HuDa Lab by developing systems and tools that enhance decision-making through strong engineering and research design. The selected candidate will contribute to building practical, high-performance solutions while validating their effectiveness through experimentation, user studies, and reproducible research methods that support global academic innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build novel systems and tools for decision-making support across research applications
* Develop software solutions and technical frameworks using strong engineering and algorithmic approaches
* Conduct comparative performance evaluations and user studies to validate system effectiveness
* Maintain reproducible experimentation standards with well-documented code and shared data artifacts
* Collaborate with research teams on system architecture, experimentation strategy, and tool optimization
* Participate in regular technical meetings, project reviews, and research discussions
* Present research progress, technical findings, and implementation challenges clearly and professionally
* Prepare research outputs for publication, technical reporting, and academic dissemination
* Support deadlines for publications, experiments, and collaborative project milestones
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Strong experience in systems building, research-oriented tool development, and algorithmic problem solving
* Excellent programming ability in Python, C++, and related technical frameworks
* Strong understanding of reproducible experimentation and software engineering best practices
* Comfort with declarative programming, SQL, and data management systems is highly desirable
* Additional academic background in systems, HCI, or AI and machine learning is considered a strong advantage
