Research Responsibilities
The Post-Doctoral Associate will undertake advanced research addressing contemporary challenges in systems
security and privacy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conduct world-class research in systems security and privacy.
* Develop and investigate research problems within cyber security.
* Prepare research articles based on project findings.
* Publish research in top-tier conferences and academic journals.
* Collaborate with researchers at New York University in the United States.
* Work with external collaborators, including government entities and companies, on relevant research activities.
* Apply analytical, system design, and coding expertise to security and privacy research.
* Contribute independently while working effectively within collaborative research teams.
Student Research Mentorship
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of students participating in the Center\'s research activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Mentor PhD students involved in relevant research.
* Support master\'s and bachelor\'s students working on research projects.
* Help students strengthen their research capabilities.
* Provide technical and research guidance appropriate to ongoing projects.
Center Activities
The Post-Doctoral Associate will support the broader academic and research activities of the Center of Cyber Security through technical and-or administrative contributions to:
* Research workshops.
* Academic conferences.
* Competitions.
* Other Center initiatives and events.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
* PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with expertise in a security or privacy research topic, or have submitted a PhD thesis.
* Less than five years since receiving the doctoral degree for candidates who have already completed their PhD.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Strong design and coding capabilities.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to conduct research independently and work effectively within a team.
* Willingness to take initiative.
