Postdoctoral Associate – Functional MRI and Working Memory
The Sreenivasan Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to conduct cutting-edge research on the neurobiological mechanisms of working memory using functional MRI. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative research environment with faculty from NYUAD and NYU New York, along with access to state-of-the-art neuroimaging facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional MRI studies focused on working memory and cognitive neuroscience
- Develop and apply advanced neuroimaging analysis techniques, including decoding and encoding models
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Biology
- Utilize high-end neuroimaging facilities, including a 3T Prisma MRI, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences
- Develop independent research projects aligned with the lab’s focus on working memory and cognitive function
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- A PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field
Experience:
- Strong background in functional neuroimaging and cognitive neuroscience
- Expertise in neuroimaging data analysis, particularly with decoding and encoding models
- Experience with recurrent neural networks is highly desirable
- Proven research track record with publications in working memory or related areas
Skills:
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent programming languages for neuroimaging analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multidisciplinary research setting
