What Does a Postdoctoral Associate in BioElectronics Do?
This role is centered on developing, validating, and testing CMOS integrated circuits for innovative biomedical and wireless hardware platforms. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge locomotion systems, with a focus on circuit integration, sensor functionality, and system-level design. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful research in bioelectronics and miniaturized wireless technologies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Design and validate CMOS integrated circuits for biomedical, analog, RF, digital, and power management applications
- Support system integration for wireless, millimeter-scale locomotion technologies
- Collaborate on experimental design and prototyping with PCB tools like Altium or Allegro
- Conduct simulations using FEM modeling tools such as HFSS or COMSOL
- Assist in sensor integration, particularly locomotion sensors
- Prepare technical publications, reports, and present research findings
- Supervise lab operations and assist in mentoring students, as needed
What Skills Are Needed for a Postdoctoral Research Role in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
Required Experience and Skills:
- Expertise in CMOS IC design and validation across analog, RF, digital, and/or power domains
- Demonstrated ability to conduct hands-on hardware prototyping and experimentation
