Postdoctoral Associate – Wireless Communication and 6G Technologies
The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to conduct advanced research in the physical layer design of wireless communication systems. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal, the candidate will contribute to the exploration of enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the physical layer design and optimization of wireless communication systems
- Develop and analyze PHY layer algorithms for emerging 6G technologies
- Explore advanced communication techniques, including reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, hybrid beamforming, and machine learning for wireless systems
- Model and characterize wireless channels in new spectrum ranges, including millimeter-wave (MMW) and sub-THz/THz frequencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and contribute to high-impact publications
- Present research findings at leading IEEE conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- A PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
Experience:
- Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications
- Proven expertise in physical layer algorithm design and performance analysis
- Extensive publication record in IEEE journals and conferences
Skills:
- Proficiency in waveform design for emerging spectrum (FR3, MMW, sub-THz/THz)
- Experience in extreme massive MIMO and hybrid beamforming architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
