Job Overview
The first project investigates retinal and neural biomarkers of visual deficits in diabetic patients, aiming to improve early detection and intervention strategies. The second project develops “phenotypic fingerprints” using multimodal imaging data (fMRI, OCT-A, dMRI, etc.) to predict future neurological risks. Key Responsibilities

* Design and conduct neuroimaging studies integrating ophthalmological, structural, and functional data
* Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to discover predictive health biomarkers
* Lead or support data analysis pipelines using multimodal imaging tools (fMRI, OCT-A, ASL, dMRI)
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across NYUAD and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
* Contribute to high-impact publications and grant proposals
* Participate in mentoring junior researchers and coordinating study protocols

Job Requirements

* PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Vision Science, or a related field
