Role Context
This position supports the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Community Programs by delivering leadership education, public speaking instruction, and student development initiatives across multiple academic pathways. The selected professional will help shape future student leaders through teaching, mentoring, graduate school advising, alumni engagement, and strategic program operations across university and pre-university educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as Public Speaking and Leadership instructor across the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholars Program, Summer Academy, and PhD Pathways Program
* Deliver university-level instruction in leadership, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
* Coordinate guest speakers, leadership workshops, experiential learning weekends, and student development activities
* Review and improve curriculum design to ensure strong alignment with program goals and student learning outcomes
* Support recruitment, admissions, and student selection processes for upcoming program cohorts
* Supervise students during academic trips, co-curricular activities, and international travel programs
* Lead graduate school advising, scholarship guidance, interview coaching, and application preparation for students and alumni
* Manage alumni engagement strategies including newsletters, LinkedIn communication, mentoring networks, and alumni dashboards
* Support annual reporting, performance reviews, and operational planning across community programs
* Build collaborative opportunities with internal academic departments and student success initiatives across NYUAD
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Education, Public Relations, Psychology, or a related educational field
* Advanced degree such as Master’s or PhD is preferred
* Strong experience teaching leadership, communication, or public speaking at university or high school level
* Demonstrated experience delivering leadership development programs in academic or professional environments
* Strong mentoring ability with proven student advising and counseling experience
* Public speaking and leadership certifications such as Toastmasters, Dale Carnegie, John Maxwell, or equivalent are highly desirable
* Strong cross-cultural communication skills with interest in student development and higher education excellence
