Research Focus
The research program focuses on developing advanced functional materials and
membrane processes for sustainable water treatment and desalination.
Projects range from fundamental membrane and materials research to applied pilot-scale systems, providing opportunities to investigate membrane performance under laboratory and field conditions using the Water Research Center\'s research facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct experimental and-or analytical research on membrane-based desalination technologies.
* Develop novel functional materials for water treatment and desalination applications.
* Conduct research involving reverse osmosis, forward osmosis, nanofiltration, membrane distillation, and related membrane processes.
* Design and execute laboratory studies.
* Contribute to field and pilot-scale research activities.
* Fabricate and characterize membrane materials.
* Analyze experimental results and interpret research data.
* Investigate material properties relevant to membrane performance.
* Contribute to research publications and patent development.
* Prepare and present research findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
* Collaborate with local and international research partners.
* Work with multidisciplinary researchers across engineering and scientific disciplines.
* Participate in limited teaching or research mentoring activities when required.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in one of the following areas or a closely related discipline:
* Chemical Engineering.
* Materials Science.

Candidates must have at least six years of relevant professional or research experience in their field, excluding the years spent obtaining the PhD.
