Role Context
The Charge Nurse - Clinic Nursing Leadership will coordinate daily nursing activities across a busy healthcare setting while ensuring that patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate care. The role supports staff allocation, nursing assessments, care planning, procedure readiness, medication safety, infection control, documentation accuracy, and communication between clinical teams. By combining hands-on nursing expertise with practical leadership, the position helps strengthen clinic performance, patient satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare standards in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate a team of nursing staff during daily clinic operations, ensuring workload distribution, patient flow, and clinical priorities are managed effectively.
* Supervise nursing activities including patient assessment, care implementation, treatment support, clinical documentation, and follow-up coordination.
* Delegate assignments to nurses based on patient needs, staff capability, and operational requirements.
* Mentor nursing team members through guidance, coaching, feedback, and practical support during routine and complex clinical situations.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in line with approved clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a key liaison between physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, administration teams, and patients to support seamless care delivery.
* Maintain infection control practices, medication safety procedures, confidentiality standards, and safe patient handling across all nursing activities.
* Support management of acute and chronic conditions including respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, wound care, immunization, and emergency cases.
* Perform and supervise clinical procedures such as ECG, spirometry, wound dressing, venepuncture, cannulation, IV medication administration, and emergency response support.
* Monitor clinical documentation, KPI data collection, care planning records, and nursing handover accuracy.
* Encourage continuous improvement by identifying workflow gaps, sharing best practices, and supporting staff development initiatives.
* Handle day-to-day nursing concerns, support conflict resolution, and promote a professional, accountable, and patient-focused team culture.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
* Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility as a Registered Nurse.
* BLS Certification is mandatory.
* ACLS or PALS Certification will be an advantage.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse in a clinical or accredited healthcare facility.
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or in a nursing leadership role.
* UAE healthcare experience is preferred, especially in outpatient clinic or multi-specialty healthcare settings.
* Strong understanding of nursing scheduling, staff delegation, clinical supervision, patient care coordination, and daily clinic workflows.
* Skilled in managing patient care for acute and chronic disease cases with attention to safety, accuracy, and patient comfort.
* Excellent English communication skills across speaking, reading, and writing.
* Arabic language ability will be an added advantage.
* Good computer literacy with confidence using digital health systems and electronic documentation platforms.
* Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical thinking, conflict management, and professional communication skills.
