Role Context
The Consultant - Arabic Speaking Pediatrician will
Core Duties
* Conduct routine pediatric check-ups to assess health status, growth, development, nutrition, immunization needs, and overall wellbeing.
* Evaluate newborns, infants, children, and adolescents to diagnose injuries, acute illnesses, chronic conditions, developmental concerns, and common pediatric disorders.
* Prescribe, request, and interpret diagnostic tests to identify underlying medical issues and guide accurate treatment decisions.
* Provide treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and preventive care to manage illness and reduce future health risks.
* Handle pediatric emergency situations with confident clinical judgment, timely stabilization, and appropriate referral or escalation when required.
* Monitor newborn and adolescent health needs, including feeding concerns, growth patterns, puberty-related issues, behavioral concerns, and preventive health guidance.
* Direct and coordinate pediatric patient care, involving subspecialist consultations when children require more focused medical assessment.
* Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers in Arabic and English regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medication use, possible risks, warning signs, and follow-up care.
* Educate families on proactive health management, vaccination schedules, nutrition, hygiene, sleep, safety, developmental milestones, and disease prevention.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including consultation notes, diagnosis, treatment plans, test results, vaccination records, and follow-up recommendations.
* Work closely with nurses, pediatric subspecialists, emergency teams, laboratory services, radiology teams, and allied healthcare professionals.
* Support ethical pediatric practice, patient safety, infection control, confidentiality, and evidence-based medical standards.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
* Board certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Pediatrics.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience in pediatrics.
* Strong knowledge of newborn care, child health, adolescent medicine, immunization, preventive pediatrics, and emergency pediatric care.
* Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
* Strong English communication skills are preferred for multidisciplinary coordination and clinical documentation.
* Proven ability to diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses, injuries, developmental concerns, and family health questions.
* Excellent communication skills with empathy toward children, parents, and families.
* Ability to work in a multinational and dynamic healthcare environment.
