Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant Burns Surgeon for a full-time, on-site healthcare opportunity in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The consultant will provide comprehensive surgical and medical management for patients with acute, extensive, and complex burn injuries, covering initial assessment, resuscitation, operative treatment, wound management, reconstruction, and rehabilitation.
The position requires advanced burn surgery expertise, strong clinical judgment in high-acuity situations, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary care for patients with major thermal, chemical, electrical, and other burn injuries.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level assessment and management of patients with acute and complex burns.
- Manage thermal, chemical, electrical, and other burn injuries.
- Assess burn depth, extent, and severity and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Lead multidisciplinary management of patients with major burn injuries.
- Manage acute burn resuscitation and coordinate critical care with ICU teams.
- Provide comprehensive burn wound care and support infection prevention and management.
- Manage complications including sepsis, contractures, hypertrophic scarring, and functional impairment.
- Participate in burn theatre lists, emergency services, and on-call coverage.
- Coordinate rehabilitation and long-term management for burn survivors.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable UAE healthcare requirements and hospital policies.
Burn Surgery and Reconstruction
The Consultant Burns Surgeon will perform appropriate operative procedures according to clinical requirements, professional training, and credentials, including:
- Escharotomy
- Fasciotomy where indicated
- Burn wound excision
- Surgical debridement
- Tangential excision
- Skin grafting
- Wound coverage
- Complex burn wound management
- Reconstructive procedures for burn sequelae
- Scar management and contracture release where appropriate
Multidisciplinary Burn Care
The consultant will collaborate with Plastic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Intensive Care, Anesthesiology, Infectious Diseases, Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, and other relevant specialties.
The role includes participation in multidisciplinary burn rounds and case conferences, with responsibility for coordinating surgical, critical care, wound management, reconstructive, and rehabilitation requirements for complex patients.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from a recognized medical school.
- Completed recognized postgraduate training in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, or another relevant surgical specialty.
- Recognized Board Certification, Specialist, or Consultant qualification in the relevant surgical specialty.
- Fellowship or advanced formal training in Burns Surgery or Burn Care is highly desirable.
- Eligibility for appropriate Consultant-level medical licensing in Dubai.
Required Experience
