The role focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex cardiac rhythm disorders, with responsibility for advanced electrophysiology procedures, ablation therapies, and cardiac implantable electronic device management.
The Consultant will provide specialized cardiac rhythm care across diagnostic, procedural, and follow-up settings while collaborating with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, heart failure specialists, intensivists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Cardiac Electrophysiology Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and complex rhythm disorders.
- Perform and interpret electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, and electrophysiological studies.
- Perform advanced catheter ablation for supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias.
- Manage atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and other complex arrhythmias.
- Perform 3D electroanatomical mapping and advanced ablation techniques.
- Implant and manage pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices where within the physician\'s scope of practice.
- Provide comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
- Identify and manage complications associated with electrophysiology procedures.
- Apply evidence-based clinical guidelines throughout cardiac rhythm management.
Multidisciplinary Cardiac Care
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, heart failure specialists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac rhythm and device clinics.
- Coordinate care for patients requiring complex electrophysiology or cardiac device management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement and departmental development activities.
- Participate in clinical teaching and research.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Cardiology.
- Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
- UAE Consultant licensure or eligibility applicable to the position in Dubai.
- Significant post-specialization experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex cardiac ablation procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in cardiac implantable electronic devices.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong multidisciplinary teamwork capabilities.
