Role Context
The Consultant Dermatologist plays a critical role in improving patient health and confidence by diagnosing complex skin conditions, performing dermatologic procedures, and delivering long-term treatment plans. This role supports clinical excellence through preventive care, specialist consultations, surgical dermatology services, and collaboration across multidisciplinary medical teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose skin conditions through detailed physical examination, patient history review, and clinical assessment
* Manage dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, infections, pigmentation disorders, and skin cancer
* Conduct diagnostic procedures such as dermoscopy, skin biopsies, and laboratory-supported investigations
* Perform dermatologic surgical procedures including excisions, suturing, lesion removal, and minor skin surgeries
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient condition, medical history, and long-term skin health goals
* Prescribe medications and provide follow-up care to monitor treatment progress and patient recovery
* Educate patients on skincare routines, preventive measures, and post-treatment management
* Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, allergists, and internal medicine specialists for complex dermatology cases
* Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital protocols
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology through conferences, CME activities, and specialist training
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree in Dermatology from an accredited and recognized institution
* Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Dermatology
* Minimum five years of experience working as a Consultant Dermatologist
* Proven expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions
* Strong experience in dermatologic surgery and skin biopsy procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
* Fluent English communication with Arabic language skills considered an added advantage
* Valid medical license or eligibility to practice in Dubai
