Role Context
The Consultant Dermatologist plays a key role in improving patient health and confidence by delivering expert diagnosis and treatment for medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology conditions. This position supports clinical excellence through advanced dermatological care, preventive education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and leadership within specialist skin care services.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, infections, and skin cancer
* Perform detailed skin examinations, mole assessments, biopsies, and dermatological procedures with high clinical accuracy
* Administer specialized treatments such as laser therapy, chemical peels, phototherapy, cryotherapy, and minor dermatologic surgeries
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient condition, medical history, and long-term skin health goals
* Provide preventive skin care guidance and educate patients on treatment options, recovery expectations, and maintenance plans
* Collaborate with oncologists, plastic surgeons, allergists, and other specialists for complex dermatology cases
* Maintain complete medical documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital standards
* Stay updated with the latest dermatology research, treatment innovations, and aesthetic dermatology advancements
* Supervise and mentor resident physicians, nurses, and junior medical staff within the dermatology department
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited and recognized institution
* Board certification in Dermatology is essential
* Minimum five years of experience working as a Consultant Dermatologist
* Strong expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments
* In-depth understanding of skin diseases, dermatologic procedures, and patient-centered treatment planning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and empathetic approach
* Strong leadership, organizational, and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
* Western education or specialist training is required
