The Consultant Endocrinologist plays a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine system disorders while improving long-term patient health outcomes. This position supports preventive care, chronic disease management, and specialist consultation services within a modern multidisciplinary healthcare environment focused on clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal conditions, pituitary disorders, and metabolic syndromes
* Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical protocols and patient-specific care strategies
* Interpret hormonal assays, imaging results, and specialized endocrine investigations for accurate diagnosis
* Conduct endocrine-related procedures and support long-term chronic disease management programs
* Provide culturally sensitive consultations and patient education in Arabic and English
* Work closely with internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, and other specialists for integrated patient care
* Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust medications and management plans as required
* Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare quality standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research initiatives, and continuing medical education programs
Ideal Profile
* MD or equivalent qualification with specialization in Endocrinology
* American Board Certification in Endocrinology is mandatory
* Minimum 5 years of post-board Consultant-level experience in a hospital or specialty clinic
* Fluent in Arabic and English with excellent patient communication skills
* Strong clinical expertise in managing diabetes and complex endocrine disorders
* Experience working within GCC healthcare systems is highly preferred
