Endocrinology Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, and other metabolic conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive endocrine assessments and interpret hormonal and metabolic investigations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and long-term management strategies.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient endocrinology consultations.
- Deliver advanced diabetes management, including insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Provide lifestyle counseling as part of comprehensive endocrine and metabolic care.
- Monitor treatment response and adjust clinical management according to individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with applicable healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
Multidisciplinary Patient Care
- Collaborate with internal medicine physicians, nephrologists, cardiologists, dietitians, bariatric teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate care for patients with complex endocrine and metabolic conditions.
- Educate patients and families about disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment adherence.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Clinical Quality and Professional Development
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to research activities where applicable.
- Participate in continuing medical education programs.
- Follow patient safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in endocrinology, diabetes management, and metabolic medicine.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent recognized medical degree.
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Endocrinology.
- UAE Consultant registration, license, or eligibility applicable to the position in Dubai.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in Endocrinology within a reputed tertiary-care or academic hospital.
- Strong expertise in diabetes and endocrine disorder management.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong patient counseling abilities.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with advanced diabetes technologies and insulin pump therapy.
- Experience with continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Exposure to obesity medicine and metabolic disorders.
- Academic and research experience is an advantage.
