Role Context
The Consultant ENT Specialist plays a key role in managing complex otolaryngology cases, improving patient outcomes, and supporting specialized surgical services. This position strengthens healthcare quality through accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment planning, and collaborative multidisciplinary care for patients across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnose patients with ear, nose, throat, head, and neck disorders
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical examination, and diagnostic findings
* Perform ENT surgeries including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, sinus surgery, nasal procedures, and other otolaryngology interventions
* Utilize advanced medical equipment and diagnostic tools to ensure precise treatment and surgical outcomes
* Collaborate with radiologists, pathologists, pediatricians, and internal medicine specialists for integrated patient care
* Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, recovery plans, and preventive care
* Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and interns within the department
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards
* Participate in continuous medical education, research, and departmental quality improvement initiatives
* Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital clinical governance protocols
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from a recognized accredited institution
* Board Certification in Otolaryngology is mandatory
* Minimum 5 years of Consultant-level experience in ENT practice
* Western education or specialist training is required
* Arabic fluency is preferred with strong English communication skills
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary clinical teams
* Excellent decision-making, patient management, and surgical judgment
* Highly organized with strong documentation and compliance awareness
